Our bodies have an innate survival system called the sympathetic nervous system, designed to handle stress or danger.

Often triggered by everyday pressures, it keeps us on high alert, even when we want to rest.

This can manifest as racing thoughts, physical tension, and difficulty winding down.

Many people with anxiety, stress and insomnia are also dealing with hormonal drivers, whether that's the menstrual cycle, perimenopause or shifts in cortisol and testosterone in men. Where relevant, I run appropriate tests and assessments to understand what is happening hormonally, so we are treating the full picture.

I’ve spent over 25 years helping people who are exhausted by stress, undone by anxiety, and desperate for real, restorative sleep — people who’ve often tried many things and are ready for something that actually works at a deeper level.

My practice is integrative by design. I don’t believe in treating your mind separately from your body, or your symptoms separately from your story. Every tool I use — whether it’s acupuncture needles or EMDR processing — is chosen because it addresses the whole of you.
